“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

I believe the sweetest privilege in the world is to belong to Jesus’ Church and to be a part of the family of God here on earth.
I love the Church and I believe wholeheartedly in the local church.
Ever since I came to know Christ, which was on 14th November 1982, my whole life has been consumed with the greatest institution ever created by God Himself, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you know that because of the Church, we have the greatest mission, the greatest purpose, the greatest mandate, and the greatest privilege ever given to man, to be a part of God’s wonderful, eternal Church!
The Church is built on Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
And He and He alone is the Head of the Church, whilst you and I are His body. (Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12:27).
On the day of Pentecost, 120 people gathered in an Upper Room awaiting the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
And when He came, the early Church was birthed carrying the signature of God’s divine pattern for humanity.
When you study the book of Acts, you will no doubt agree, that the early Church was rewarded for building according to Divine Pattern.
Souls were continually added, so much so that the additions transcended into multiplications.
People were healed from their infirmities.
The dead were raised back to life.
The demonised were set free and given a new lease on life.
All over Jerusalem and into Asia Minor, churches were established and they grew and prospered.
That’s what is recorded in our Bibles.
And that’s what will happen in our churches when we build according to God’s Divine Pattern.
If there are two things that I have come to learn about Jesus Church, is that;
(i) The Church is inevitable and
(ii) The Church is invincible.
Whether we believe in the church or not, Jesus WILL build His Church and will return for a Church that is without spot or blemish. That is an inevitable fact!
And what makes the Church inevitable is the fact that it has nothing to do with the brilliance of man and everything to do with the power of the Holy Ghost.
This is the reason why the Church is the ONLY redeeming agency in the earth!
You cannot buy a membership neither can you become a part of it by being religious and performing religious rituals.
You can’t join the Church because your parents were members.
You can’t get into Jesus’ Church because you have a perfect CV or because you are a VIP.
No, the only way to belong to Jesus’ Church is by being born again as Jesus explained to Nicodemus (John 3).
It’s only His blood, shed on the Cross of Calvary, which redeems you from the curse of sin. Only by the miraculous second birth can you enter the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And what a wonderful experience to be a part of God’s family and a co-builder in His Church.
