For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.

(Hebrews 3:4 NKJV)

A careful examination of the Scriptures will clearly reveal that God is a builder.

In the beginning, God started with nothing and out of nothing He built something. He spoke and whatever He spoke came into being.

And so He “built” the earth, by declaring forth the moon, the sun, the stars and everything that we see in it.

For five days, God “built” creation as we know it.

Then on the sixth day, He “built” His masterpiece, mankind.

He formed him from the dust of the earth and then breathed His spirit into that form and shape, (Genesis 2:15) and man became a living being.

God then took man and placed him in the Garden to tend and keep it. In so doing, Adam began to “build” together with God, helping to maintain and extend the Garden.

But God knew that Adam would need a helper, so He put him to sleep and out of man’s side God “built” him a woman.

And together with God, Adam and Eve began to “build” in that Garden.

Through that union a marriage was “built,” and out of that marriage, a family was “built.”

And through that family, God “built” His Kingdom by revealing His ways to humankind.

If there is one thing that I am trying to make plain to you today, is the fact that God is a builder.

But, He’s not just a builder, He is the Master Builder.

The amazing thing is that He created us with that innate desire to build as well.

If God is a builder and He indwells us by His Spirit then, it would be natural for us to want to build as well.

Therefore we naturally want to build our relationships, our finances, our families, our homes, our LifeGroups, our schools, our church, our neighbourhoods, our communities, our city and our nation.

Yes my friend, God is the Master Builder and you and I are the tools in His hands that he uses. (1 Corinthians 3:9-11).

Not only does He desire to build your life, but through your life, God also desires to build the lives of those around you.

DECLARATION:

God is the Master Builder who indwells me by His Spirit and I am the tool in His hand.
