And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. (Exodus 14:15–16 NKJV)
Last week we spoke about the fact that the heavens are open and that God’s heart is that each and every one of us lives under an open heaven.
I looked up the meaning of the word “open,” and found the following; unlocked, unbarred, untied, passable, navigable, spacious, uncluttered, ready for business, up for grabs, unreserved, noticeable, willing, obtainable.
As you can see the list is seemingly endless, but exciting none the less, when you ponder its significance and the impact it can have on you and me!
When Israel came out of Egypt they walked as far as they could until they faced the Red Sea.
Their path before them wasclosed, barred and unnavigable.
Behind them were the Egyptians, hot on the chase, and all around them loomed the ominous mountains.
In the natural there was no way for them to escape.
All hope of them breaking free once and forever from Egyptian bondage and slavery, now seemed to be fading by the second.
I don’t know if you’ve ever been at such a place in your life?
Or perhaps you are there right now?
You have made such progress in your life and walk with God and now suddenly you are at a dead-end and everything around you has shut down and closed on you.
And to make it worse, it’s as if the very life has been sucked from you and you are left wondering where God is in all this.
But I want to encourage you, friend, not to give up.
God will never let you down.
He would never bring you so far in your walk with Him, to deny and greatly disappoint you.
Hell has unleashed its best to frustrate, stop and thwart you from pursuing and continuing in the purposes of God.
So what did God tell Moses to do?
He told Moses to stretch forth his rod over what was closed and to COMMAND it to open.
What was naturally closed, barred, restricted and unnavigable before them, God supernaturally “opened” before them.
And that’s exactly what you need to do too.
Stretch forth your God-given authority over the situation.
Take authority over that spirit of hopelessness and limitation and command whatever is closed, to open in Jesus mighty name!
If the heavens are open over your life, then it means that miracles, signs and wonders are the order of the day for you.
Prophesy life to your “closed” situation and you will see rivers of blessing and favour flowing once again.
You see, whenever you bring God into the equation, you also bring along the supernatural.
And as believers, it is natural for us to experience the supernaturalness of God!
DECLARATION:
I am living under an open heaven and every day I am experiencing the supernaturalness of God. Today, I decree, that whatever is closed in my life, shall be opened in Jesus Name.
