“Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.”
(Ezekiel 47:5 NKJV)
Life is a journey.
And for believers, it is one that involves us becoming more and more like Jesus.
We may start off ankle deep, but then we can and ought to progress to being knee deep in God.
And for some of us, we may be knee deep but we can and ought to move to being waist deep in God.
And for others of us, we may be waist deep, but then we can and ought to be where we are overflowing in God.
This is the vision that the prophet describes in Ezekiel 47:1-5.
It may not be felt every moment, but in a sense there is a thirst in every soul.
God did not make us to be content in our natural condition and to some degree, every one of us wants more than what we have right now.
The deep waters of God’s Spirit are always running out to fill the deep places of our hearts.
And the amazing thing is, that the spirit of faith will always gently prompt and nudge us, into the more that is available in God.
My friend that is why God places a high premium on worship because it creates an atmosphere where He moves in with His presence, drawing us into the deeper things of God.
God loves you so very much and has a wonderful plan for your life.
And my prayer for you is that you will experience the more He has in store for you.
